My name is Florencia Ruiz López and I am 15 years old. I live with my mother because my parent are divorced since I was 8 years old, my father had a wife and they had a son who called Santiago who has 2 years old, he is my brother. My father, Ricardo take care of my dog called Gala I see her when I went to my father’s house, twice a month, we have it since I was 6 years old so she recognized me very well. I have lot of friend from school and from summer holiday I love them and I love spending time together talking, dancing, singing, playing, having fun. I would like to share the house with one of my best friends, Belen Garea. We would like to go to a non- smoking house with teenagers and we only like dogs as pets. I adore music; my favourite singer is Shakira I really admire. Also I love dancing and it would be interested to know about the typical music and dance Irish people have, moreover I would like to learn some song or dance. Besides this, I enjoy playing sport I love playing hockey. It would be interesting to see a rugby mach also Gaelic football and hurling which are typical sports of Ireland. As well as, I would like to visit all Ireland, I know that it is impossible but I would like to visit important places and others that are incredible and nobody or some people had visited. I would like to don’t have time to relax! Moreover I would like to see TV programmes and films from Ireland. Furthermore I am interesting in meeting other people and make friends. I think my goal of this trip is improve the English language and to have fun with my friends.

My name is María Teresa Koopmann but my nickname is Tere. I’m fifteen years old and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a flat with my two brothers and my father.  I go to Saint Brigit’s school since I was four years old.  My father works as a chemist and my brothers are students of the university. I’m very keen on sports: I used to do swimming and to play tennis. Nowadays, I play hockey in the Italians Club which is in my neighborhood Caballito. In Ireland,  I would like to watch a hurling match as well as a rugby match if possible. I love listening to any type of music. Although I’m a bad singer, I love dancing!  I would like to go to a concert. As I like very much acting, I would also like to take drama classes or go to the studio of a T.V. program.

 My name is María Eugenia Quintana and I have a nickname: Maru. I'm 15 years old and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I live with my parents, my sister and my two little brothers. I have a dog called Sheila. I have lots of friends, but Ana Laura Vila is my best friend. We have similar personalities and thoughts; we do everything together and we love spending time talking of a variety of things. At this moment, I have a boyfriend callen Juan Ignacio; he is very cute and I love him very much. I love music; my favourite singer is Patricia Sosa (Argentinian singer). Nevertheless, I listen to all type of music and I sing very well; it will be incredible to know about popular music and singers or groups. Besides this, I play the guitar. I'm not keen on sports but I have a passion for horse riding. I would like, if it is possible, to ride horses o watch some riders.Moreover, I would like to know about an Irish's common day: what he/she usually does, where he/she goes and which people he/she meets.   My name is Paula Puentes. I'm 15 years old and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've a 14 year-old sister who is going to participe in this experience too. The only difference is that she is going to go a week before me. I've got a kitten called Alex. He is very naughty.
     I'm keen on drawing, sports and nature. When I was 6 years old, my grandfather enroll me in a drawing competition. I won the first prize that consisted in a Barbie bike. Last year, I started to take drawing lessons. Now I've got 5 paintings that I give to my family as a present. In most of the paintings, I uses cinders (carbonilla). 
     I am really interested in the traditional sport of Ireland. It seems to me that there is a lot of cheerfulness in the environment. In Argentina, I enjoy going to the gym where I can relax from stress. 
     Animals are another passion. I love all the felines. However, I also like dogs because they are very loyal and affectionate.

     Going to theatres, Tv shows or cinema are extraordinary events that I would like to go. I don't have a determined aim, but I would like to go to all the activities that are going to be fulfilled, if it is possible.

My name is Facundo Torres, I'm fifteen years old. I live in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires, with my parents and my little sister. To my mind I'm a good student, and also an interesting person. In my leisure time I usually play videogames, table tennis or volleyball with my friends. Another hobby of mine is shooting movies (we think the story, we write the scripts,..) and then edit them with a computer program. I like reading books too. Talking about the trip, I think that it's going to be a wonderful experience, meeting native english speakers, visiting amazing and beautiful places, living with an Irish family, going to the Limerick's University.. it's great. There are so many places to go, so many things to see and to do... I would like to go to historical sites,  clubs (to learn Irish's sports and have fun..), to see a play or a concert....         See you soon!

My name is Ana Laura Vila, I'm 15 years old and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm an only child, so I just live with my parents and my little dog called Pancho.

I love sports and music. I've played hockey since I was 7 years old and now I play with my friends at school twice a week. I also go to the gymnasium with two girls, where besides doing several exercises we take dancing lessons. As regards music, I spend most of the day listening to it. Actually, I don't play any instrument, but I really enjoy singing and dancing. My favourite singer is Ricardo Arjona, but I like almost every type of music. That's why I would like to go somewhere we can listen to different bands and also take part in the show. Moreover, I would like to share some time with hockey players and play a match with them, if it is possible.

Theatre is an other passion I have. I love it and it would be wonderful if we could talk to some actors or actresses from there, as well as watching a play.

I am Lucia Ramos Vardé. I am 16 years old. My family is composed by my mom, Susana, my dad, Julio and my little sister Rocio. My mother is 52 years old as my father, and my sister is 13 years old.

I love sports, I do hockey and gym artistic and I used to do taekwondo. What is more, I love music like pop reggaeton, music of films and latin music but I always hear all type of music. Hello, my name is Fernando Courreges, but you can call me Nando. Im currently in the 4th grade of secondary school at General Villegas and Im preparing myself for IGCSE, CAE, Trinity and French A2. Hello! My name is Valeria Rost. I'm 15 years old. I'm from Modelo Lomas school. I love sports, music, fashion. I play the harp. And I hope to have an unforgettable experience !

I'm Aldana Martín. I'm 16 years old. By the time we get on the plane I'll be 17, though. I attend Modelo Lomas school, which is located in Lomas de Zamora. However, I live in Temperley. I live with my parents and my three sisters. The eldest are studying at University, one law and the other one human resources. The youngest is still studying at school.
Not only do I adore singing, but I took singing lessons for over two years as well. I'm really keen on music. I'm fond of bands and artists like The Beatles, Queen, Alanis Morissette, Paolo Nutini, Paloma Faith amongst others. I fancy learning English so much that this would be the right opportunity to speak in English with other people, rather than just with my own head. Moreover, in this trip I want to meet new people but specially, I'd like to soak up the new cultures and live like they do over there because as the saying goes, 'When in Rome...do as the Romans do'.

I'm Micaela Christiani from Modelo Lomas School. I'm in the last year and I'll turn eighteen next November. I will finish high school in 2010. I like sports very much and the one I practise is gymnastics. I enjoy dancing and being in the open air. Besides, I am keen on knowing about other cultures and lifestyles. 

My name is Victoria Gullerian and I´m a 15 and a half years old student. I´m Argentinean and I live in the capital of Buenos Aires. My family is form by my parents, my twin sister and my little cat. We are very close to each other, and we consider our pet part of it because we love it.

 I go to Saint Brigitte School which is situated 5 minutes car from my house. It´s a bilingual school and I go there since I was 4 years old. I enjoy being with all my friends, and now, we are very close because we really know each other. We can manage not only English but also French.

 About free time, I spend it playing the guitar or surfing the net. I play the electric guitar and I´m really keen on it. During the weekends I go out with my friends and usually go shopping or to the cinema. I really love sports and I’m a big fan of all of them, such as hockey, basket, football and tennis. If days are sunny I love going outdoors so as not to waste the day. If I would have to dream of something I would definitely choose to play hockey against a team of Ireland, also it would be nice to attend to a band rehearsal and why not play in a small stage.

I love playing hockey and tennis. I used to go swimming. Moreover, I love listening to reggaeton music. That is why, I take reggaeton classes. My name is Andrea Alvarez, I’m 17 years old and I live in a city called Banfield, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I live with my parents and my 19 years old brother. My hobbies are being with friends, play with the computer and doing aerial silk. I also like doing extreme sports. My name is Florencia Vallese, I am 17 years old and I go to the Lenguas Vivas school. I am very sociable, talkative and sportive. I am always drinking mate. I LOVE sports especially gymnastics and football (I am a Boca Junior's fan). I do gymnastics since I am 4 years old, now I train five days a week four hours. It's very difficult to explain what I am expecting from the trip, I hope to have fun and I obviously want to improve my English but apart from that I want to be surprised not only with the great place we are going to but also whit the people their culture and the activities. My name is Nicolas Eduardo Ferrandini, and I'm 15 years old. As you should know, I'm an Argentinian teenager who is travelling to Ireland and the UK. I`m Manuel de la Mata but everyone calls me Manu. I`m 14 years old I live in Buenos Aires with my father, mother and sister. I have a dog called Merry, she is a Scottish Terrier. My birthday is the third of January. We have a country-house in Pilar, in the suburbs of Buenos Aires, I like going there because I have a lot of friends. I love playing sports, now I`m playing rugby in Manuel Belgrano`s Club. I enjoy very much. I used to play tennis but I dropped it because I wanted to play with a team.
Valentina is my sister she is ten years old, she goes to the same school as me. She loves dancing and playing hockey. I hope I will enjoy my stay in Ireland.

I love the idea of this journey because it is a new experience. 

 My name is Rodrigo Laje. I’m 16 years old. I live at villa bosch, though i go to St Pauls collage at hurlingham. I really love music, it doesn’t matter the genre, obviously i have preferences. I love cumbia, reggaeton, electronic and heavy metal. Though in this moment of my life I only train at the gym, I really love sports; I used to play soccer, tennis and I play rugby at school (although I don’t like it too much, y definitely prefer playing soccer). I am a very talkative, friendly and sociable person. I love doing jokes and I do it all day long. I enjoy spending time with my friends and laugh all day long (I also love making people laugh). I expect to enjoy this trip, and make it something really productive. I am very exited about meeting new people, and having a whole new experience living for a period of time in a whole new environment. I drums, and I really love it. I play the drums since I was 6 years old, 10 years from now. I would love very much to be able to play at Ireland, and if it’s possible I wold like to perform for a public, that would be very important for me. I would also like to play soccer, but that would be a second option, what I would like to priories would be to have the chance to perform playing the drums, but if it isn’t possible I would like to have the opportunity of playing soccer, or perhaps the two things. 

Hi! My name is Maria Belén Garea. I’m 15 years old. I am at 3^rd year at Saint Brigid’s School. One of the reason I chose this trip is because I’m very shy. I hope it help me to develop my social skills. Also because, I like to know different places, people and cultures, as I travelled to many places with my family, both in my country and outside it. Maybe because of my shyness, I don’t speak fluent English, but I will do my best to communicate with the people. I don’t have a hobby because of the school work doesn’t let me time enough. I like to do sports, especially hockey that I play at school with my friends. I am interested in learning how to play Irish sports, like hurling. I am not so sure about what I will study after school, but I recently  started to be interested in design, especially interior design. I would like to learn about the new tendencies, however, I am not so sure because I don’t know so much vocabulary about this.

My name is Agustina, and I’m 15 years old. I live in Argentina, in Buenos Aires (the capital city). My family is formed by my parents, my twin sister Victoria and also I have a cat named Michu, I really love my family because we share everything  after all blood is thicker than water.  I live in Flores neighbourhood that’s near my school also of some important avenues like Avenida Rivadavia with many important stores, where if I want I can go for a stroll with my friends. At school we learn English and also French. About my free time, every day when I arrive from school first, I do my homework and after that, I surf the net, listen to music in my bedroom or draw. I really like drawing and painting, it’s a way for me to relax and to forget all about my everyday problems. All the week-ends I go out with my friends and we spend time together in a shopping-center or a park or we just meet in a house and watch movies. I really enjoy being with them, they are wonderful. About me, I’m a very talkative girl, and very out-going person. Moreover sometimes I can be a little shy when I talk with people I don’t have much confidence, but I think it will be easy for me to meet new people. I think it will be very interesting to learn about their culture, their life and other subjects. About my dream, I would like to go to a fashion school, as I really like those things connected with models, clothes and fashion, and maybe in the future I would like to be a fashion designer.  Also I would like to go somewhere connected with the environment as I really like nature and I’m very interest in animals and in protecting their lives and all the environment. Also well I would like to attend to sport, art, music, television classes there at  the University to learn more about them.

I like sports like voleyball or football, Acording to music, I like rock and punk,. I play the guitar, it is one of my favourite hobbie. Hi, I'm Nadia Fernandez Cid and I have fourteen years. I go to St. Brigid School since I have 4 years. Now I am in second year from the secondary. I have lots of friends in the school because I like making friends. All my friends said to me that I'm very nice and friendly. All the weekends I go to a club and I do horse riding. I have a horse called Lazaro. He is very friendly and he is a good horse, we did a lots of competitions.

Hi!  My name is Carolina Belen Castedo but my friends call me Caro. I’m sixteen years old and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina with my parents. I haven’t got brothers or sisters but I share my room with my hamster Homer. I’m currently  in 4^th year at “Santa Brigida” school which is at 5 minutes walking from my house where I’ve learned most of the English I know. I have lots of friends here in Argentina but I really like making friends from other countries so we can share things from our cultures and learn from each other.

I really like sports however I´m not good at most of them and what I really love is science and anime (Japanese animation). My favorite subjects are chemistry, physics and math,  I’m keen on drawing, I love reading mangas and my favorite music is Japanese pop although I like listening to all kinds of music!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Ignacio Borrego. I’m sixteen years old and I go to Saint Brigid’s school. I live with my parents, my brother and sister in a flat in Buenos Aires. My brother is called Ezequiel and he is twenty years old while my sister is called Brenda and she is ten years old. We have two cats. I love pets! According to sports, I love playing sports in general, principally football. My hobbies are playing computer games and watching TV. This is the first experience which I am going to be alone without my family. I am a very shy, a light-hearted person and I´m a very good friend. Talking about my appearance I am thin and small. I've been teaching English for about 30 years and coordinating English at this school for 4 years. I work at Teacher Training College teaching the future teachers how to teach English. I have 3 daughters.

Hi, everybody! I´m Delma Sanchez. I have been head of the primary and secondary English department at “Tiempos Modernos” for sixteen years and this is going to be the first time that my school will experience the opportunity to visit Ireland. We are all eager to be there!!!! Personally, I am fascinated with the idea of visiting the University of Limerick and meeting you all. I love travelling and visiting new places so I´m sure we´ll all enjoy our stay there, especially the fact of sharing customs, legends, getting to know your city and people. I'm Silvia Luppi. I've been a teacher at St Brigid's for over 20 years and will be joining the 2011 Limerick experience. I'm thrilled about it. This will be my second visit to Ireland and I'm really looking forward to it. I love reading and learning about the culture of the places I visit. I will miss my husband and three daughters, though. But it will surely be rewarding to share this trip with our students.

Hi, my name is Keith O’Farrell. I’m 20 years old and from the west of Ireland. I study in the University of Limerick and at the moment I’m doing my co-op placement in Buenos Aires, working in Lenguas Vivas secondary school and on some English immersion camps. I’m also helping out in organising some activities for the group travelling to Ireland in January. I’m looking forward to organising excursions that will show you the aspects of the culture that you’re bound to enjoy! 

 

My name’s Kristian Mills. I’m 29 years old and originally from Manchester in the North of England. I’m currently living in Buneos Aires and have been working for Colonias for 13 months. Before coming to Buenos Aires I lived and worked in London and I’m familiar with the city and all the fun things to do and see there. I have successuflly helped coordinate 2 Ireland and England discovery trails more specifically designing the London part of the trips. I’m looking forward to helping to design the London part of the discovery trail in January/February and will be accompanying you during your time there.

My name’s Mike and I’m 24 years old. I spent most of last year in Argentina and have just moved back after heading home to Washington, D.C. for two months. I love food, watching and playing basketball, and photography. I’m going to be helping out with the organizing of your trip to Ireland and the U.K., and making sure that all of you have introductions on this blog, so contact me if you want to add or change anything!
